Walking tall on the global fame of achievement on high voltage electric cable research and development, ZTT has again received the invitation and contracted by TenneT, a leading European power supplier for the development program of the +/-525kV flexible DC submarine cable system.
ZTT had in 2017, participated in similar research and development for the +/-525kV DC land power cable system by TenneT.

ZTT Submarine, due to local demand, begun in early 2000 in the research and development for the high-voltage flexible DC cable and submarine cable products. Making leaps and bound progress, ZTT undertook most domestic market flexible DC demonstration projects from 2013 to 2015.
In 2017, ZTT, as an industry leader since, took the lead to the research and to develop the +/-525kV optical fiber composite DC power cable powering the highest transmission capacity on the global stage. ZTT was awarded the top ten most influential technological enterprise awards in the Chinese power industry.
In 2017, ZTT became the first entity in China to successfully develop ± 525kV flexible DC submarine cable
Soon after, ZTT's success in developing the +/-400kV DC optical fiber composite DC submarine cable, including the flexible joint and achieving the qualified type test in 2019. ZTT was awarded the "Three Gorges New Energy Jiangsu Rudong Offshore Wind Power Farm Project" The project is the first large-scale wind farm flexible DC access project in China. The production is in good progress, expects to be put into operation in 2021.
ZTT delivered 155kV submarine cable products for Tennet engineering procurement construction (EPC) project
ZTT's dedication and constancy in the research and development had, and yield much respect and success. In 2017, ZTT went on to win and complete the German TenneT 155kV Submarine cable EPC project with many accolades from global experts. A first and big breakthrough for a Chinese Technological Enterprise.
